Who we are
Journey is made and operated by Digcy (digcy.com), the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@digcy.com.
The short version
Journey plans trips from what you tell it. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across apps or websites. You can plan your first trip without an account; if you create one (Sign in with Apple), your trips are stored in your account so they sync between devices. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time, in the app.

What we don't collect
- No passwords and no payment details (Apple processes all purchases).
- No location tracking — Journey never asks for your location.
- No advertising identifiers, analytics SDKs or tracking.
- No contacts, photos library access beyond the single photo you pick for your avatar.
Retention
Account data and synced trips are kept until you delete them or your account. When you delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account) or at journey.digcy.com/delete-account, we delete your account, trips and usage counts from our database immediately; backups roll over within 30 days. Our server does not store the text of your planning requests. Operational logs (time, endpoint, error codes) are kept by our hosting provider, Vercel, for up to 30 days. Anthropic and SerpApi process requests under their own policies and do not use them to identify you. Trips, notifications and your profile stay on your device until you delete them.
Bookings
Journey doesn't take bookings or payments. When you tap "Book" or "Reserve", the airline, hotel, Airbnb or Google page opens and their privacy policy applies to anything you do there.
Your choices
- Delete a trip from its menu, or delete everything in Profile → Logout.
- Turn microphone or speech access off any time in iOS Settings → Journey.
- Ask us anything at hello@digcy.com.
Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA)
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to processing, and complain to your data protection authority. Most of this you can do in the app; for anything else email hello@digcy.com and we'll answer within 30 days. Legal bases: performance of our contract with you (planning, accounts, sync, subscriptions) and legitimate interest (preventing abuse of the free tier). We don't sell or share personal information for advertising.
Cookies
The Journey app uses no cookies or trackers. This website uses no cookies; the waitlist form only stores the email you submit.
Affiliate links
Some booking links (for example Booking.com, Aviasales or GetYourGuide) are partner links that may earn us a commission. They open the partner's site; we don't receive your booking or payment details.
Children
Journey is not directed to children under 13 and we don't knowingly process their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
